"SAY HELLO to Vinissimo, a secret wine shop that, after years of supplying wines to some of our city's top restaurants, is now opening itself up to the public.
You'll have to make an appointment, and you'll have to get yourself to an unassuming little storefront in Pasadena, but we think it's worth your trouble the next time you're planning an all-stops-out date night at home, or want to convince a wine-loving producers to invest in your Terms of Endearment-meets-Zombieland pitch."
BACARO LA Los Angeles Times, The Guide
"Located in the former Le Porcini Ristorante space, Bacaro LA is a new wine bar in a neighborhood not known for upscale merlots. The North University Park/West Adams wine bar, opened by former A.O.C sommelier Santos Uy (along with partner Danny Kronfli) will also serve small plates with their upscale selections of wine. Expect a selection of pannini's and the ubiquitous "cheese plate" at Bacaro. But the focus here will be mostly on wines from around the world; with an emphasis on "adventurous" Italian varietals. The bar, which has a rustic feel and chalkboard walls, will open in April."
